The American Federation of Pigeon Racing 'ARPU' celebrates 100 years!Come to one of the most famous & important race of the year, from November 10 to November 14, 2010. The Event:Come enjoy tradition & the history of the ARPU organization. Take in attractions, Oklahoma hospitality & culture.This event will be assisted by members of the Pigeon Racers of Oklahoma & for the centenial event. The AU will throw a huge birthday celebration party! Tour the national headquarters located in beautiful Oklahoma City, & visit our next-door neighbors, the World of Wings Pigeon Museum. The other area attractions include the Riverwalk in Bricktown, canal and river cruises, Oklahoma National Memorial, Oklahoma Art Museum, the renowned Route 66, Oklahoma History Center, shopping and much more. The Race:An amazing race format with 3 One-Loft races held. Your handlers are (add +1 if you call from abroad):
Prizes based on entries. LIMITED SPACE, 2000 birds MAXIMUM. The Races will be released together, however, each loft will pay prizes separately. ENTRY FEE: $150 per bird (no refunds). Birds accepted from March 1 through May 30, 2010. Replacements until June 30, 2010. $10 optional buy back. If buying back, payment must be made by November 1, 2010. Return shipping cost paid by breeder ($40 for 2 birds, $8 per bird extra bird). Birds not bought back become property of the PRO club. ADDITIONAL ENTRY OPTIONS: Breeder’s Cup $50 per team of three. Must be nominated and paid for by November 1, 2010. Payout – 1st, 2nd, & 3rd based on points. First three birds sent may be placed in loft of choice. All other birds will be placed on rotation.
